I'm very much in love with Dita Von Teese's look here, as featured on today's post on one of my favorite blogs Marie Antoinette's Gossip Guide. The fitted bodice, low decolletage, full skirt and toile captures the essence of 18th century styling, but without looking like a costume. I took yesterday off in celebration of my 28th birthday. I usually work on birthdays, starting with my 20th (school and unemployment fell on the others prior). My 23rd happened to fall on my regular day off and I took my 25th off to go to Cape May for the day. I've been a bit stressed with work, especially since baseball is still in full swing. Almost finished the shift--I finished the armhole seams Friday night and the hemming last night. The neckline still needs to be finished and some sort of closure on the sleeves. Since the hole is a little too large, I think I might bind it ( Read more... )
